Host/Hostess Station

The Handsome Cab Restaurant In York PA commissioned DANKO to design a host station.

Criteria and Design

The area alotted for the host station was small, and being under the steps, unlit. The design, like the restaurant, is minimal. The cabinet needed electricity for phone and a computer for reservations. It also needed space for storing many menus, which are heavy. I suggested cantelivering the cabinet from the wall. The Interior of the cabinet is plywood shrouded with a translucent hollow core polymer material. Notice how the wine bottles to ghost through. The design is etherial, weightless, and sturdy.
