about the Danko Studio Workshop.....

My studio workshop is small and well equipped. A small workshop affords me few distractions and clarity of vision. I can think to solve design problems and play with materials. I develop making methods in ways others haven’t. I do have a few really talented people I work with who know their jobs to perfection. They don’t need supervision beyond knowing the details of what is next to make. Sudhir has been with me too many years to remember. He is a super craftsman in every sense of the word. Sudhir makes our ply bent furniture, including the belted rocking chair. All I do is figure out how to make things, ponder the possibilities of sustainable furniture design and work on special projects.
